Universal dance shoe for beginner?

Hi, I am new to the dance world so I have a few questions. I’ve been taking Argentine Tango and were shown shoes like Comme il Faut for dancing…I’m deathly afraid of heels (and the price). Because I plan on taking more dance lessons (all ballroom) and will eventually need “non-marking soled shoes”, what is a good type of shoe to start with? I’m thinking something comfortable and versatile (no heels) until I actually need to break down and buy actual ballroom shoes/tango shoes etc. Would jazz shoes work as a universal practice shoe? I do plan on eventually buying ballroom shoes, but for now I would like something basic that I can just you know, jump around in (during class) while not breaking an ankle. Or, would the recommendation be that I buy a pair of low-heeled dance shoes for all occasions?

not just an extra though, it could be any role at all. like in the music videos on mtv like Panic at the disco, Katy Perry, All Time low etc.
im wondering like whats the process? do you have to sign up? do you have to be in a certain dance studio or acting class or anything? like you know the whole deal ?????

I’m searching for a spanish music video with the words “Yo te quiero”. I saw the video on MTV about 3 yrs ago.

In the video the female Latin singer danced and shook her hips (like Shakira). The recurring phrase was “Yo te quiero”, and the song was completely in Spanish. I have searched Shakira’s songs and videos, and cannot find her doing a video with a song with these lyrics. Also tried other female Latin singers with no luck. Please help me find the artist and song.

Ice Dancing Musical Selection?

I’m a competitive ice dancer. My partner and I have been competeing together (both on our second partnerships) for seven years this month. We used to pairs skate, but now mainly do ice dancing (sort of ballroom dancing on ice, to simplify things greatly).
1 CommentWe’re doing this benefit in the summer, not a standard competition. Therefore, no CD/OD/FD regulations. We’re skating three dances, one must have a latin feel (think Cha-Cha/Samba/Rumba), one must have more of a traditional ballroom feel (think Waltz/Tango/Foxtrot), and the other is a freestyle. We need songs for each.
What we’d like:
Latin: Sexual undertones (without being unappropriate), passionate, medium tempo.
Ballroom: Slower tempo, more lovey-dovey then passionate.
Freestyle: FUN! Fast tempo.
Any suggestions?
