Do you consider ballroom dancing a sport at competition level?

I do three styles of ballroom dancing, modern ballroom, latin amercian and new vogue. I do them competitively with national dancesport.

Figure Skating or Ballroom Dancing? Which Costs More?

Hi, Im currently 14 years old and im thinking of goin into either figure skating or ballroom dancing. But, my problem is that, I cant make up my mind..I hear that Figure Skating costs more because you need/should take ballet classes and you need to have a choreographer n stuff.
Ballroom dancing has long since been my passion but, lately, all i can think of is figure skating. I there such thing as taking it as a hobby? I mean..it’s still to expansive for a hobby?

what kind of ballroom/latin dance could i do to Hero by Enrique Iglesias?
also, do you know any good songs to do cha cha, swing, waltz, foxtrot, or any latin dances to?

What type of shoes should I wear for latin ballroom dancing?

I am going for my first introductory latin ballroom dance lesson. Its private and only 30 min. I know you usually wear strappy thick healed shoes but I don’t have any right now. So for this first lesson what shoes should I wear?

I have ben dancing for 8 years and I realy want to go on point shoes. I am starting my 2 year of ballet and before that I did 6 years of ballroom dancing. I am 13. Help!
