Dance Classes in Southern California?

I used to take dance classes when I was in junior high, now i’m graduated from high school & I want to get back into dancing. I’ve always had a dream of being on a university cheer team but that kinda went out the window when I started High School & couldn’t afford the classes. does anyone here know of a really good dance studio in Southern California (particularly the Orange County area)? (:

it’s a slow, sensual one rather than the typical mambo record and i think it has something about “after dark” or something like that in it. They play it at a lot of Ceroc dance classes!!! Help!1

How can I get ready for Pointe shoes within two weeks?

I have been in ballet for about 8 years, as well as other dance classes. My teacher has promoted me to pointe and my first class is in two weeks. I want to strengthen my ankles and feet so I am extra prepared. Is there any exercises I could do to strengthen them? Also, if anyone has tips about pointe it would be really useful. I am really ready to go on pointe and if anyone can help me get stronger and tell me what to expect it would be great!

I’m teaching a dance class and need help with choreography?

Over the summer I’ll be teaching two dance classes for a week. It’s for a children’s summer camp, and will be one week long, with a performance on friday.I am looking for resources or ideas. I’ll be teaching two different age groups and dance styles. The first class is a ages 5-8 ballet, and the second is ages 9-12 hip hop.
-it is a Christian summer camp, and I’m trying to find music for both classes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

in a few months i will be starting dance classes. one of them are jazz and one is hip hop. i am pretty confident about hip hop but jazz im not so sure about. i dont want to go in the class and look stupid. So can anyone give me advice or pointers about jazz before i start the classes??
