Is BMI all that crucial?

My daughter, she’s 16, just recently brought home a note from the clinic at school. Apparently, they screened the junior class for different health issues, one being their Body Mass Index. How important is it to base one’s health status on their BMI? This letter says that my daughter may be at risk for all types of diseases. I’m questioning this whole BMI thing because my daughter IS active. She swing dances 4 nights a week, is in her 4th semester of weight lifting class, and eats a healthy vegan diet. There is not one ounce of fat on her body…you can barely pinch skin anywhere. The only way she could lose any weight is to lose muscle, or maybe have a ****** reduction (she’s a size 36G, which is why she was interested in weight lifting class, supposedly weight lifting can reduce a woman’s ****** side, but it hasn’t happened.) The letter from school was very critical of my parenting skills, and suggested I need to seek advice on how to keep my daughter active and healthy.

i wanted to kno if i did the right thing.i still dance.by myself though….im pretty good at making up my own dances too.i wish i could open my own dance classes.
k well i took every dance class there was i love it and do it everyday its a habit but i want to go into a class again.but my mom wont let me.she says to take a break from it but i cant.

Would you be ok w/a transgendered woman as a bridesmaid?

I’m so excited - but worried. My best friend has asked me to be in her wedding. The shocker - she wants me to wear a bridesmaid gown. In a way, its not shocking - I’m transgendered and we’ve hung out alot w/me dressed as a woman - I met her when she was working as the manager of a womens clothing store - we’ve gone on trips together, nights out, dances, etc. And she told me along time ago - kidded me - that she’d want me to be a bridesmaid if she ever got married. But I’m worried that she’s just doing it to be nice - and I’m also worried about offending the older folks and/or detracting from her big day. On the other hand, I don’t want to disappoint her - and I’d love it. And people that don’t “know” just think I’m another woman. She told me that the other bridesmaids and even her fiance are great w/it. What should I do? Decline and just attend in boy mode? Or do it? I think I’ll start by calling one of the other bridesmaids.

Learn to follow in dance?

We have a school dance coming up shortly after school starts.I’ve never taken dance lesson and I don’t have the chance to anytime soon.At the school I’m going to, they do partner dancing.At my old school you would be considered a major nerd if you danced like that anytime other than the last song.So-the boy who is most likely to take me to the dance knows the basics(they teach them in their PE class) and says he did pretty well with the unit.I’ve never partner danced and I have no clue where to start.My brother is willing to learn with me from a book or DVD so that we have some idea but I don’t understand how you follow.A boy tried to show me once but said I wasn’t following right.Does anyone know what that means?He said it’s how dances communicate the next step-how can I pick that up? He said if I learn to be a good follower, then no one will know that I dont’ know how to dance. It’s up to the boy to lead the dance-therefore it’s up to him to tell me what to do? So lost…Thanks!

I am a dancer and i made a youtube account to show some of my dances.
but all of them are from our year end recital dvd which is burned.
i have tried and tried and i cannot figure out how to upload them.
i tried this one thing called video put, but it said that it only allowed 100 MB…

I Am sooo Sad. and nervous?

I can not dance to save my life, i am going to a chuch camp thing and there are going to be dances there. i can’t do anything! i usually just stay in one place and go back and forth on my feet(if you know what i mean) but i am so embaressed becausei don’t know what to do!
PLEASE any any tips would be nice!! i am getting so nervous!!

i know i really want to do this and i love dancing i been dancing since i was little. i was thinking about being an vet, in criminal justice system, but nothing cant compare to dancing. i willing to do anything to get to where i want to be and plus its not just a job. it kinda fun doing hot dances , making dances up. i want to be like Laurie Ann Gibson and teach hiphop , R&B dances.
