Freestyle dance tips?

PLEASE HELP! I need to 8 counts of freestyle for the beginning of my hip-hop dance. Before we start the dance, we all do two 8 counts of “just dancing” (as my teacher says). All I can think of to do is step clap, step clap. But, since that’s all everyone does, the teacher said that we couldn’t anymore. PLEASE HELP!

Age 18 too late to start hip hop dance?

I’ve always loved hip hop dance but my parents never let me take it consistently when I was younger because they thought it was a waste of time and money, especially if “it’s not something I would make a career out of.” I really want to get superb in it because it’s something that I don’t think I can live without. However, I often find myself discouraged because I see people who are my age and they are teaching classes already! Or they’re my age or younger and already have had years of experience. I also feel that I’m the only one who is slow on picking up choreography. ahh
I know this sounds quite unrealistic right now…but I would really love to dance on some of the great so-cal hip hop teams like breed or kaba modern.

I want to become a cheerleader?

I would like to become a cheerleader for my schools freshman basketball team. I have backround in ballet, jazz, and hip hop dance. When i was in 2nd,3rd,and 4th grade i did camps in the summer for cheerleading. I play many sports and can do splits. The only problem is that I can not do any tumbling other than a roll. I can not even do a cartwheel or handstand. I am hopeing to find someone who can assist me in reaching this goal and maybe we can talk on AIM. My screen name for AIM is partychk101. I am 14 and I am going into 9th grade. Thanks in advance for your help!

i am doing a hip hop routine with my guy friend and we don’t know which song to dance to. something not girly and not too break dance material.
oh ! and we want a good rhythem so the audience doesn’t get bored.

I am looking for some hip-hop songs, that have a really good beat to dance hip hop to. Or a hip hop song that only has beats and no words. Or hip hop songs that has the words “beat” “tempo” and so on. Please let me know if you do !!

Hip hop dancing?

Okay so I’ve ALWAYS wanted to learn how to hip hop dance. Ever since I was about 4 years old. I am now 15. I was really inspired last night when I watched the movie Honey. That movie made me sort of think I kinda pushed this dream aside. I’m unsure. I live in an area where there are NO CLASSES anywhere within FIFTY miles!
It really sucks, so I was wondering if there was like videos or something I could learn myself. Like my mother bought the hip hop abs videos for herself. Are those any good to learn from?
Any advice here?
